Beaded gowns never go out of style. Here are several of our favorites:
The first gown is Style #5875 by couture designer Liancarlo. It’s a soft and subtle masterpiece of floral organza cutwork on Chantilly lace, with hints of tiny crystals scattered throughout. The silhouette is mermaid and they’ve added a delicate lace cap sleeve along with a keyhole back. The color shown is in Candlelight.
Next is a vintage-inspired fit and flare by Watters called Leandra. Shown also in the color Candlelight, it features an illusion v-neckline and intricate scalloped lace details. The pearl beadwork cascades down the gown. The surprise knock-out is the illusion back with the pearl-button closure.
One of my personal favorites is this next gown by Augusta Jones called Joni. Sleek and unique, it’s made of a heavily-sequined lace resembling a basket-weave pattern. The bateau neckline and sleeves are trimmed in tiny silver beads. This dress is all about the texture of the fabric and its snug fit. A bit more fashion forward than traditional, this gown for sure has that wow factor appeal.
Our last gown is Dani by Hayley Paige. In keeping with this designer’s flare for the dramatic, she’s created an A-line skirt made of pleated English netting. But the bodice steals the show. Using rhinestones, crystals and alabaster-colored beads, she crafts a unique pattern of swirls and swags for a one-of-a-kind look. This is a gown for the bride who wants elegance without the traditional “bridey” look.
Many thanks to our lovely models Olivia (in Liancarlo and Augusta Jones) and Kara (in Watters and Hayley Paige) for taking the time to help us with this photo shoot. As I’ve said before, without them, we’d just be dressing up mannequins! We love you both!
